FTC Disclaimer

The following disclaimer is applicable only to my product review posts.

On December 1, 2009, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) mandated bloggers to provide disclosures whenever there may be a conflict of interest or unspoken biases in their recommendations. Here, I will detail my blogging philosophy with respect to the FTC guidelines.

We live in the age of consumerism, where, to a certain degree, your worth is determined by what you buy and how much you have in excess of what you need.  I'm not qualified to discuss critically about this state of affairs but I have to admit it is tempting to accept freebies from companies. Once in a blue moon, a company will contact me about advertising or endorsement deals.  I ignore most of these, simply because I don't have time to check through my inbox.  However, if I decide to accept and review a product that a company sends me, it will be made very clear:

The title of the post will be formatted: "Sponsored Review: (Product name)". An FTC disclosure will be placed within the body of the post. The contact person's name, as well as any conditions of the review (if applicable) will be disclosed.

All opinions expressed on this blog are my own, and biased towards my skin-type and preferences. Any questions or concerns can be sent to miss dot wiggle@live dot com. Thank you!
