FOTD: Shiseido, etc.

Duuude, the fireworks tonight were sooo rad! xD Did everyone have a good night? So, here's what my makeup looked like today. It's totally boring, but I AM excited about one particular product - the Shiseido Brightening Veil! I bought this from Claire at eclecticism* for an AMAZING price. She also included a sample MAC pigment in Gold Mode, which I also used in today's look. Thank you, Claire!!

Isn't it kind of cute? Like short, stubby mushroom, LOL... I thought the color would be too light for me since I'm a little darker than Fuz (who did a review on this product long time ago), but it worked out surprisingly well!

Here's everything I used on my face today. My HG sunscreen is by Shisiedo - it's super-smooth, gives me a glow, a bit matifying, and keeps my makeup on longer (somehow). I've tried the Clarins sunscreen, but it made me really oily. Another one I like is the silver-bottle Shiseido Anessa.

I LOVE LOVE the Brightening Veil!! It's so light, and makes my skin look sooo smooth! I definitely prefer this over any BB cream. It also has surprisingly great coverage - all my red patches are gone, and most of my acne scars! I only used a bit of the Beautymaker concealer on the fresh new pimple above my lip haha! I used my fingers to dab on this product, as instructed by Fuz in her video - watch it here. Works great!

For blush, I used Shiseido's Blush Duo in Rose (I think).

My mom and I share this blush actually hahah~ She bought it a LONG time ago, and look! We've finally hit pan! LOL. Sorry, it looks quite messy!

I had to adjust the lighting so you can see the color better. I swirled the two colors together to create a baby pink shade.

OK, now for the most boring part of the look - my eye makeup! xD

Holy blurriness!! Sorry gals - but I think even if it was clearer, you wouldn't be able to see much color LOL... I used Covergirl's Tapestry Taupe to line my eyes, MAC Pigment in Gold Mode over my crease, and RMK duo to the middle of the lid.

The RMK palette creates a really nice sparkle - not over the top, but just enough shimmer! I definitely want to get one more, but they are SO expensive!! Too bad I'm a super-sucker for packaging, haha!

I don't usually curl my lashes or use mascara. Reasons being: 1) I have an good amount of lashes that are sprouted in random places with many layers/lengths so it's difficult to curl them all, 2) I'm too lazy to take off Japanese mascara at the end of the day xD, and 3) they would extend up to and a little over my crease, making me look like Madame Medusa from The Rescuers!

Does anyone remember this Disney movie? Hahaha~ I LOVE Disney films, but they just don't make them like they used to. *sigh* Anyway, so hopefully you gals weren't too bored with my look! Good nightie! ~ ~

Cute look of the day. Glad you had fun watching the fireworks in SF. I haven't watched it in years, since I moved to Sac. Looks like you really like Shiseido products :)

OMG, The rescuers! I had that on VHS, and thanks for reminding me. I have to find that on DVD!! I actually had a lil Disney marathon yesterday, and watched the Little mermaid (my favorite), Ariel's beginning (so sad), and Brother Bear (for a laugh). Hope you have a great weekend!!

i've only hit pan for my blush once, but then i threw it out a few months ago cuz i've had it for 2 years already haha, maybe i shouldn't have thrown it out.

Pretty!! I'm glad you like the Brightening Veil! It's a great product! I had to let it go because I had way too many base makeup products just sitting around, hahaha. The blush looks so cute! Haha, you two REALLY hit pan!

Seattle IS great for walking, and even within the city you get a lot of nature-y stuff, very pretty, if you go when it doesn't rain, hehehe.

Phew, glad the items arrived safe and sound! It was actually delayed nearly a week due to some custom issues. The parcel was sent back to my SG addy and I had to resent it from SG to you. GAHHH! I hate Australian Post!

GREAT FOTD! Very natural and sweet. (: Congrats on hitting pan! I think so far, I've only hit pan on my pressed powder and that was more than 2 years ago?! :P

    xoxo

hehehe bat's cave-like livingroom :p I think if I don't buy enough furnitures for the new place, one of my bedrooms will actually look very bare. but no worries, we live close to an Ikea right? :p
