My New Things: Jill Stuart Eyeshadow Palette!

Wowee, it's been over a month since I last posted! How are you all? I've been readjusting to a new schedule, and I haven't had much time to do makeup. But last week, I happened to see Lotus Palace/Kathi's blog sale, and I bought something!

I got my package from Kathi this evening. Even though these photos are terribly drab with indoor lighting, I just couldn't wait for the daytime to show you. The packaging is so cute, just like her blog. She even has a blog business card! ;-)

Included in the package was a pink Miffy pen - it's already in my backpack he he.  And here is the cute tape with the yellow ducky! I have no use for tape, but I don't have the heart to throw it away.

Pretty nude-pink box with swirly decorations. I wonder how Kathi kept it in such good shape - I know my boxes are usually dented all over.  I haven't figured out where to store product packaging. Well, what's inside?

The Jill Stuart Brilliance palette in 04 Gem Amethyst. Yay! *Dance dance* Just the packaging alone inspires me to collect more from this brand.

Look how shiny it is! I'll have to be careful with it though - it's likely to scratch easily. But it's G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. Like others have mentioned, the case feels very hefty even though it's just plastic. And it closes with a satisfactory *snap!*.

Since reading PJ's (A Touch of Blusher) review on this palette, it's been on my wish list. I was so lucky to have found it on Kathi's blog sale! I'm usually too late to catch all her wonderful sales.

Ta-da! Isn't she lovely? My photos don't do it justice at all...

Ugh, sorry about my kitchen lighting! I think this is a better view of the granite counter-top than the palette itself haha...

In real life, these colors are simply dreamy and have a beautiful sheen. They look like brilliant jewels in a glistening ocean... (Haha, so cheesy!) The mid-tone purple, especially, is more of a pastel.

When I do a formal review of this product, I will include better photos. :)

Have a great week everyone! I'm looking forward to Veterans' Day this Wednesday - no school, and no work... almost paradise! *sigh*~ ~ ~

So pretty!!! the packaging is to die for =P Anyways girl about the Mario Badescu samples, did you receive an email from them after you filled out the questionnaire? For me, after like a few days they sent me an email linking me to a page where I put in the address where I want the samples sent to. You can also contact their customer service through email, they are very helpful and respond very quickly!

The palette looks gorgeous! If I were you, I would want to carry it around with me all the time haha.

If you are afraid of getting milia from eye creams you can try gel formulas. I have this YSL eye gel that I absolutely adore, maybe I'll do a review on it soon. My mom also told me that eye creams should always be massaged into the skin really well, to make sure it absorbs. Or else it'll just sit on top of the surface and clog pores and cause milia. I haven't had a problem with it yet! =)
