I don't consider myself a make-up "collector" since I don't really let things accumulate. (An exception is made for eyeshadow though, he he.) Here are some products I've pretty much finished. I'm not going to mention things like lip balm or nail creams, because they're in the trash right now.
So, I'll state how long it took me to finish the items, and some final thoughts as they transition out of my daily routine! The product photos aren't pretty - I didn't clean the items beforehand, sorry. :P
By the way, I'd just like to share the following video with you - it's just food for thought. At the very least, it has cute animation! It's ~20 minutes, so watch it if you have some time to spare. I'd love to know what you think about it! :)
Shiseido The Makeup - Brightening Veil (~1 year)
Bought this off of Claire at Eclecticism almost a year ago. I STILL think it's a great product. It's my alternative to a BB cream, with none of those irritating "skin-care" ingredients (I have super-sensitive skin). It has better coverage than a BB cream, more readily available in the US, and not that expensive!
Vincent Longo Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder Foundation (9 months)
Used to be my HG foundation. Man, this stuff was awesome back in the day (before the line got discontinued). It wasn't a powdery finish, a satin finish, dewy finish... it was a supernatural finish! It gave me the dreamiest looking, naturally radiant skin! Woosh. The negatives: 1) this product crumbles as it ages, as you can see from the photo, 2) it's expensive.
Shiseido The Makeup - Blush Duo (10+ years)
Yes! I finished a blush!!! Not just hit-pan, but FINISHED. How cool is that? xD I love blush duos - a highlighter and blush in one, so convenient! I think I'll try Integrate's Forming Cheeks next, which is also a duo. :)
Fainlise Avorio - Acne Equilibrium Essence (1 year)
Soon-to-be Mother-in-Law (there's gotta be a better word for that!) bought this for me. The box states: "The Equilibrium Acne Essence is a purely natural product, it has no side effects... Do not worry about mistaken eating." lol~
It feels really nice on the skin. I feel it keeps my pores smaller for a longer time. BUT it is SO expensive, and totally not worth it if you're poor like me!
Kevin Beautymaker Aquamarine Hydrating Serum (3.5 months!)
Holy cow! This one went FAST! Taking that into consideration, Beautymaker is quite expensive! The worst thing about opaque bottles is that you can't tell if there's some hidden product still left inside. :( I think I'll have to repurchase this though, because my skin just loves it. I will look into other options and compare price/unit next time.
Aveeno Baby Sunscreen SPF55 (8 months)
Eh, NOT a fan of this! It's quite thick, but not moisturizing at all. It has a satin finish, and is quite matifying. I can see this being popular with oily-skinned gals, though. Also, it flakes and balls up. I had this problem with another sunscreen which also had oatmeal as an ingredient. It claims to be as "mild as water," but it certainly isn't that way on my sensitive skin! My HG is still Shiseido.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask (2-3 years)
Old faithful product. Nothing else to say - it's my go-to. It really raises up blackheads, so I can extract them more easily. Nice!
Jojoba Oil - Decant (2-3 months)
Just a decant, haha, but I still consider it nice progress. :) I think I'm down to 1/2 the original bottle of jojoba oil. I'll be re-filling this decant the next time I go home.
GOODNESS, I need to publish this post before I finish anything else - this post just keeps dragging on and on... Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I started this blog on May 10, 2009 - right before a major exam (which is the best time to blog, no?). There's no particular reason for the 'Miss Wiggle' pen name. My full-time job = medical student. This blog serves as both an outlet for my wayward thoughts and an anchor for my sanity.
FYI for current readers and followers: this blog is undergoing an identity crisis, meaning it has no real direction. Right now, my only goal is to write as often as I can about whatever strikes my fancy at any given moment.

Add Commentyay good job for finishing all that! I finally hit a teeeeeny weeeeny little bit of pan on my powder today, i was so excited hahahaha. OMG good job! a whole blush! that's SO impressive! I agree with the KB stuff, the opague bottle makes it impossible to tell how much product is left, and when i was using the eye serum, for a while it stopped pumping too, which made me so sad cuz I thought it had ran out, when it was just a lil less than a month into using it. grrrrr!!! good product though.
i love how u finish products! great post~
congrats! i wonder if shiseido is selling the same model of blush even now ?? LOL!!
:D
haha you're like me, took forever to finish a product. i had the shiseido mattifying veil back in the days and loved it but i didn't repurchase. got too many options =)
wow you did a great job finishing makeup! Ive ever done that with my dior foundation haha
Congrats on finishing those products! :) I wish I could finish as much product as i can.
I have to tell you that I stared at the empty blush pan in shock. (Kinda like seeing a Chupacabra I suppose) Major kudos to you!! I don't think I've ever finished a blush before. =\
Wow. I've never seen a picture of the Mint Julep Masque tube that empty. It seems to last forever. Follow the link below to get a coupon for $1.00 off your next tube. Feel free to pass it along.

I love seeing what people hit pan on! I don't see posts like these much on blogger anymore. Gives me an idea of what people truly love haha I want to try the Shiseido Brightening Veil, wow, it looks impressive :O
And oh, Wiggle, I know this is a really really late reply, but I wrote a reply to you a week (or more) ago, and my internet got disconnected for 2 days! What I said was along the lines of, I just thought it was funny how the rating coincided with the order lol What a coicidence xD Like as you go down, the rating dropped down a full point haha There is no logic in what I write/comment. I am easily amused, that's probably why I get called weird by a lot of my friends :x
And the other thing was that I know how you feel about using nice things. I'm not really into makeup either, I'm trying my best to finish the products that I have! But all I was saying was that to give it a chance. I was disappointed with a lot of MAC stuff actually lol But what I like most from that brand is their Starflash eyeshadow collection xD I hope you find more things worth your time and money. MAC is overdoing it a bit, but there may be a few good things in that brand, just have to really dig deeper. It's a chore, I understand xD
Thanks for commenting on my blog! Your muscles will hold in the cup!!
wow! you finished a blush?? how did you do that?I always think thats amazing. Esp very pigmented ones! I have never even hit pan on one. This is def something I hope to do!
omg. GREAT JOB!!! this is inspirational. i might be on the way to do project 10 pan part 2 as well. gona finish up a lippie and foundation this week! :D keep up the good work!
Omg the only product I've managed to hit the pan in is my foundation! I think your post has inspired me to keep using my stuff on a regular basis lol, I just keep buying and buying but not using them enough! It's quite a vicious cycle ;D Anyway miss wiggle, what happened to your twitter? I was just about to follow you back the other day but you deleted your account I think?
